Information day on SPIRE Calls

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia is organizing Information day on SPIRE calls on December 21 st , 2017 at 16:00. SPIRE ( Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency) calls are part of Horizon 2020 work programme on Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing. The aim of the calls is to further strengthen the global leadership of Europe’s industry in environmental sustainability, through a combination of mature and disruptive technologies. As stated in Working Programme international cooperation may be particularly appropriate in some areas of the Sustainable Process Industry, in particular with Eastern Partnership countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus). Information Day thus will review 2018 SPIRE open calls: CE-SPIRE-02-2018: Processing of material feedstock using non-conventional energy sources (IA ) CE-SPIRE-03-2018: Energy and resource flexibility in highly energy intensive industries (IA 50) CE-SPIRE-10-2018: Efficient recycling processes for plastic containing materials (IA )  Deadline: February 22 nd , 2018. Webinar for Horizon 2020 National Contact Points

SRNSFG disseminates information regarding webinar “Business Model Development, Business Plan Development” organized by the’Access4SMEs, the network of Horizon 2020 National Contact Points (NCP) for Small Medium-sized Enterprises and Access to Risk Finance (SMEs, ARF) on December 15 th  2017, 12:00 pm – 14:00 pm. The webinar will cover the following issues:  Structure and evaluation of application, Canvas Business Model as a basis for the project etc. The webinar is organized by  IPPT PAN  on behalf of the Acess4SMEs project and will be executed by  Mrs. Anna Nikodym-Bilska , Evaluator for the Horizon 2020 SME instrument. Webinars by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI)

Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) has been holding webinars on IMI2 from 27 th of November. All webinars will feature a presentation by the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), and will include time for questions and answers. The webinars represent an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Call topics, to interact directly with the topic coordinators, and to get in touch with potential project partners. The webinar on IMI’s rules and procedures will include presentations of IMI's intellectual property policy and tips on the preparation of proposal submissions. IMI will also hold a dedicated webinar for  small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) . This will cover elements of the different Call topics that may be of particular relevance for SMEs, as well as a presentation of IMI’s rules and procedures with a focus on aspects that are most important for SMEs. On December 1 st , 2017, the announcement of the calls under the Millennium Challenge Georgia 2017-2018 was held at the Fabrika conference hall. The Millennium Innovation calls aim to increase the interest and motivation of secondary school students towards national sciences, technologies and engineering. After the exhibition of the innovative projects by the finalists of 2016-2017, the welcome addresses were delivered by Ambassador of the United States to Georgia, His Excellency Ian Kelly, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dr. Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Executive Director of the Millenium Challenge Fund, Ms. Magda Reddit, Chairman of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency, Mr. George Zviadadze.

Annual Conference of 2017 by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia (SENSFG)is organizing the annual conference “Results of the SRNSFG activities of 2017 and future perspectives” on December 11, 2017, at 9:30-17:30. The conference will be held at the hotel Radisson Blu Iveria (Address: Rose Revolution Square # 1, Tbilisi) The conference aims to present the report of the call programmes and events of 2017, to introduce the results of the national and international calls administered by the foundation, to identify difficulties and challenges through the foundation-funded research projects, revised procedures of the call assessments and the activities for the multilateral programme activities. The conference agenda also includes presentations regarding the plans and future prospects of the foundation activities in 2018. The foundation disseminates information about the fifth symposium on healthcare system research

  If you are an experienced or young scientist in the field of health care and you want to get involved in global dialogue in achieving sustainable development of health systems, use the opportunity and become the part of fifth symposium for healthcare research systems, which will be hosted by Liverpool on 8-12 October 2018. Advancing Health Systems for All in the SDG Era –   will be the main topic of the fifth symposium, with more than 2000 representatives of the field to exchange their opinions and experiences. Participants will be able to get information (acquainted) with modern approaches in the field of health, create the scientific evidence and use the knowledge for the development of health care. The symposium programme is planned to hold more than 100 sessions, one part of which will include the organized presentations and another part will be regarding the individual presentations. At the same time, before the start of the main programme of the symposium, sessions will be focused on the development of skills and satellite, where the young scientists will be actively involved and extend professional networking circle.
