Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation disseminates information on Grants for Networking

This grant for networking financially supports the participation of local researchers from Eastern Partnership countries in Brokerage Events related to Horizon2020 as well as in Preparatory Meetings for the development of concrete project proposals for selected thematic calls within H2020. The aim of the action is to extend scientific networks between EU Member States/non-EaP Associated Countries and EaP countries as well to increase the number of EaP participants in submitted H2020 project proposals. ICMPD Call for papers for the international conference

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation disseminates information on Call for papers for the international conference  - UN Based Global Approach to Migration and its Implication for Georgia’s migration policy” The International Conference aims at bringing together local and international scholars and policymakers to discuss migration related research and their application to migration policy worldwide and in Georgia. ICMPD invites papers that analyse various aspects of migration policy making, policy outcomes and impact assessment of migration policies as well as empirical research that may lead to better migration policy outcomes. Presenters are expected to highlight the application of “ New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants ”, especially its key elements towards a global compact for safe, orderly and regular migration to policy planning and implementation. Organizers welcome presenters from various disciplines, such as political science, sociology, economics, history, law, anthropology, public administration, demography and social geography. The conference program will be organised into several thematic panels including but not limited to: Migration and development Identifying and addressing drivers of migration Human rights of migrants including labour rights Irregular migration Diaspora and their links to countries of origins Attitudes towards migrants Integration and reintegration Abstracts (250 words, in MS Word format, in English (each abstract should be accompanied by author/authors contact information, and a short – 100 word – biography), must be sent to the organisers by  15   March 2017  at: . Call for PhD scholarships 2017 (will be announced later in March)

Call for PhD scholarships 2017 will be announced on the first decade of March 2017 (See 128/N Decree of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, September 30, 2014). The main goal of the program is developing intellectual potential of the country and preparing high qualified science staff.  Sub-goals of the program are: targeted use of intellectual potential existing in the universities, creating relevant conditions for the research, collaboration between PhD students and higher education institutions abroad. Objective of the project is identifying successful, talented, young researchers and contributing towards bringing his/her doctoral research project to international standards. This program will contribute to young researchers’ integration in international projects and increase Georgia’s scientific research quality. Call for PhD scholarships 2017 will be open to the following fields of science: Natural Sciences; Engineering and Technology; Medical and health Sciences; Agricultural Sciences; Social Sciences; Humanities; Georgian Studies. Program participation will be announced through open Call. SRNSF will fund individual grant proposals only. Eligibility: Georgian citizen PhD students of Higher Educational Institutions, enrolled in PhD programs in accordance with Georgian legislation.  2014 and 2016 Call winner PhD students are not eligible to participate in the program. The Faculty of Education and Humanities is organising the 7th International Research Conference on Education, English Language Teaching, English Language and Literature in English (IRCEELT 2017) which is held on 21-22 April 2017 at International Black Sea University, Tbilisi, Georgia. The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners and policy makers to discuss issues, tackle real challenges, develop professionally, share opinions, find solutions and explore opportunities in the areas of education. The conference serves the purpose of promoting a tight link between theory and practice and explores different perspectives on the application of research findings into practice. SRNSF disseminates information about annual FaRiG awards

FaRiG (Friends of Academic Research in Georgia) helps scholars in Georgia, working in the humanities, to carry out research and publish the results. By doing this, FaRiG contributes to the preservation of Georgia's unique cultural heritage and making their work better known in the international scholarly community. FaRiG has given well-targeted assistance to Georgians who are working in the  difficult conditions of post-Soviet life  to document, analyse and maintain their country's  3,000-year-old patrimony , which ranges from epic poetry and folk music to modern architecture and cinematography. Anybody with an interest in any aspect of Georgian scholarship and culture is warmly invited to contribute ideas and funding. FaRiG is happy to accept donations which are tied to particular projects which fall within its remit. In September 2017, QUALI-Start-Up lecture course will take place in Research Center Jülich as part of the GGSB (Georgian-German Science Bridge). This project continues “Autumn Lectures in Tbilisi” project (2013, 2015). The content of this training course will be in the fields of experimental and theoretical physics (Nuclear Physics, Nanotechnologies, Physics in Medicine), chemistry (Energy and Climate Control), life sciences, health, mathematics, engineering and technologies. Selection of target groups (Bachelors and Masters students) will be conducted in two stages. At the first stage, students must submit the following: CV, letter of motivation and letter of recommendation. Knowledge of English language is essential. Consortium of Georgian universities (TSU, GTU, Agruni, Iliauni) member students are eligible to take part in the program. Georgia Professional Development Mini-Scholarship Program

CRDF Global and the Georgian Research and Development Foundation (GRDF) are pleased to announce the  Georgia Professional Development Mini-Scholarship Program , that provides an opportunity for the eligible Georgian biological scientists, researchers and experts, to apply for and receive the benefits of up to three memberships for the professional associations related to their field of employment/study. Eligible applicants include employees of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC), Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture (LMA), and the National Food Agency (NFA). Individuals currently enrolled in a graduate program (MD, MPH, MSc or PhD) focusing on epidemiology, biosafety, biosecurity, or infectious diseases in a Georgian university are also eligible to apply. Selected applicants will be announced on a rolling basis starting in  November 2016  and the competition may be open  until 31 March, 2017 , dependent upon the number of applications received.
