Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation announces 2017 MA research call

MA research call is dedicated to support MA students to study in accredited Georgian Universities in order to advance their scientific research skills and improve the quality of academic research papers of MA studies in Georgia. Additionally, MA research call promotes building up improved research capacity in higher education institutions of Georgia.  The call is open to citizens of Georgia who are currently students of Georgian accredited higher educational institutions and are studying at the senior or junior year of an undergraduate (MA) course. The project duration must be 4-10 months and the total budget of the project should not exceed 6000 GEL. Shota Rustaveli National Science foundation announces a call for programme – ‘Science begins from School’

The competition aims at enhancing education quality at general educational institutions, integrating research in teaching process, increasing the popularity of science and encouraging pupils to engage in research.  SRNSF call intends to introduce innovative approaches to the educational process, facilitate a pupil to get the comprehensive understanding of different subjects and increase the curiosity for science. Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation announces the call of the Young Scientists Research Grants 2017

The current SRNSF call aims to enhance the quality of research by supporting projects of young scientists, to promote their involvement in interdisciplinary scientific cooperation. Also, to help higher education institutions strengthen their scientific-research environment. Eligibility: Citizen of Georgia with a PhD or equivalent degree who has been awarded the degree in the past 7 years before the announcement date of the call. Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation announces call for PhD scholarships 2017

The main goal of the program is developing intellectual potential of the country and preparing high qualified science staff.  Sub-goals of the program are: targeted use of intellectual potential existing in the universities, creating relevant conditions for the research, collaboration between PhD students and higher education institutions abroad. Objective of the project is identifying successful, talented, young researchers and contributing towards bringing his/her doctoral research project to international standards. This program will contribute to young researchers’ integration in international projects and increase Georgia’s scientific research quality. Call for PhD scholarships 2017 is open to the various fields of science ( sub-fields are listed in the classification ): Natural Sciences; Engineering and Technology; Medical and health Sciences; Agricultural Sciences; Social Sciences; Humanities; Georgian Studies. SRNSF will fund individual grant proposals only. Program participation is announced through open Call. Eligibility: Georgian citizen PhD students of Higher Educational Institutions, enrolled in PhD programs in accordance with Georgian legislation.  2014 and 2016 Call winner PhD students are not eligible to participate in the program. For implementation of the project, researchers can use material-technical base, which belong to the higher educational institution, scientific-research institute or other legal/physical body. Project duration: minimum 6 months, maximum 36 months. Implementation of the winning projects will start from October 1, 2017. Requested funding from SRNSF for each reporting period should not exceed 10 500 GEL. Call for “Leonardo Da Vinci” 2017

Program for high school students “Leonardo da Vinci” aims to support ongoing reforms at general educational institutions; to stimulate and improve learning process and raise pupils’ interest towards learning; to raise interest towards innovation and technology; to develop creative thinking and practical skills. Call is open to any person who are VII-XII graders at the general educational institutions (public and private schools). The Call will be conducted in two stages: At the first stage of the Call,   a participant shall submit an application form and a research plan / primary idea (uploaded PDF file) (with scanned signatures) to the following email address: .
