Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia announces results of Grants for Mobility and International Scientific Events: 4 applications rejected as a result of technical compliance check (Director General Decree #126) Budget allocations to scientific events, conferences, seasonal schools and combined events have been approved (Director General Decree #125) -         Ranking lists for conferences, seasonal schools, combined events and Director General’s degree on approving selected projects are available in Georgian. Georgia’s Cultural and Material Heritage Research Grants 2017 – the evaluation results published

Evaluated projects. The committee made ranking list and announced 4 winner projects that have been confirmed by the Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. We kindly ask the winners to bring documents, indicated in the Director General decree, to the Foundation office until September 8, 17:00, 2017 . Selected applicants are kindly expected to provide documentation meeting deadlines. Otherwise, the SRNSFG will be unable to conclude the grant agreement.

The results of the Best Scientist and for the Best Group of Scientists Award, 2017

On July 26, 2017, 60 applications were registered under the call Best Scientist and for the Best Group of Scientists Award, 2017 in the following scientific directions: 1. Exact and natural sciences – 23 applications; 2. Engineering and technology – 5 applications; 3. Medical and health sciences – 4 applications; 4. Agrarian sciences – 3 applications; 5. Social sciences – 5 applications; 6. Humanities – 11 applications; 7. Georgian studies – 9 applications. On August 09, 2017, the evaluation committee (created according to the SRNSFG Director General decree N105, dates  - August 01, 2017) was held in the Foundation and it evaluated 60 applications according to the evaluation criteria for the Best Scientist and for the Best Group of Scientists Award. The committee used the following evaluation system: A+ - The best A - Very good B – Good C – Satisfactory The committee chose winners from all 6 award nominations. Additionally, the committee recommends to award Certificates to selected applicants - scientists and groups of scientists. The director general decree Evaluations Certificates

The Results of the Joint Research Programme of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and Oxford University

Winners of “Georgian Studies” the joint research program of 2017 by the Foundation and Oxford University were revealed. 9 applications were registered for the competition in 2017. The Joint Commission of Oxford University and the Foundation conducted interviews with 7 applicants who passed the second stage of the evaluation. The winners have to submit the documents approved by the Decree of the Director General of the Foundation till July 21 st 17:00 PM, at the Chancellery of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. Winners will be financed as invited researchers on a 12-month research tour in the United Kingdom, Oxford University, School of Interdisciplinary Studies ( http://www.area-studies.ox.ac.uk ), at Russian and East European Studies Center (http://www.rees.ox.ac.uk) and will conduct research in collaboration with a highly qualified mentor selected by Oxford University.
