“S&T International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian Countries” (IncoNet EECA)
In 2008-2012, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation (SRNSF) participated in the project “S&T International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian Countries” (IncoNet EECA) funded under the EU 7-th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7).
The project aimed at strengthening the Scientific and Technological cooperation between the EU Member States (and Associated Countries) and the Eastern European and Central Asian countries. In this respect, IncoNet EECA project facilitated a coordination of S&T policies building on common interest and aiming at mutual benefit in order to strengthen the cooperation between EU and EECA. Besides, the project included a variety of activities aiming at an enhanced participation of researchers from EECA countries in FP7 and provision of support for NCP/NIP structures in EECA region.
The total budget allocated by the European Commission for the implementation of the project equaled 3, 5 mnl Euros, out of which 78 000 Euros has been allocated to Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation (SRNSF).
