Georgian students will participate in the 31st International Biology Olympiad (IBO 2020). This year the Olympiad will be held in Japan and students from 80 countries will take part in it, however, due to the pandemic situation in the world, theoretical and practical tours of the Olympiads for Georgian students will be held remotely.

Georgian national team was composed of students who passed to the third round of the National Olympiad this year. They went through two additional qualifying rounds, and the composition of the team and reserve was determined by the sum of points accumulated in both rounds.

Qualifying rounds started on August 11 at 10.00 Tbilisi time and will continue until August 12. Georgian students will take part in the mentioned tours from Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, where the examination room was arranged in accordance with the requirements of the IBO-2020 Organizing Committee and equipped with computers and cameras.
