General Director’s Meeting with Deputy Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany

On January 21, at 11:00, Mr. Zviad Gabisonia, Director General of the Foundation, hosted the deputy ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia Mr. Michal Fabrice at the conference hall of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. The served as an awarding ceremony of the winners of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and Forschungszentrum - Jülich “Joint Research and Education Programme for Master and PhD Students”.

The main goal of the meeting was to review Georgian-German scientific cooperation and strengthening future partnership. Example of the aforementioned cooperation is Joint Research and Education Programme for Master and PhD Students. On the event, the winners of the program, introduced presentations regarding their projects.

Research and education joint call between LEPL Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and Forschungszentrum - Jülich aims to give future opportunity to Master and PhD students of Georgian HEIs, to conduct fundamental and applied research, linked to their thesis field, at Jülich research centers.

A joint program 2018 of the Foundation and Forschungszentrum - Jülich was announced in February. In frames of the program, Foundation and Forschungszentrum – Jülich have chosen four Georgian students.
