World 21th Congress of Soil Science

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia disseminates information about the World 20th Congress of Soil Sciences hosted by Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The professor of Georgian Agrarian University and the director of Mikheil Sabashvili Institute of Soil Sciences, Agro-chemistry and melioration, Tengiz (Gizo) Urushadze was selected as an Honorary Member of the International Society of World soil sciences, which is an unprecedented case for Georgian academic society.

The Congress was attended by 7,500 the delegates from 145 countries. This honor has been a total of 92 well-known scientists since 1924. 

Participation in Mr. Tengiz Urushadze's congress was carried out within the framework of the project "Creation and Issue of Red book of Georgian Soils" funded in the grant call of Applied Researches of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. Consequently, the results of scientific research on the project were presented at the Congress.
