On December 9th, Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Prof. Zviad Gabisonia met with academic staff, professors, students of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University.

The meeting was opened by the rector of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University Vazha Vardidze. Dimitri Gegenava, Vice-Rector of the same University also welcomed and thanked the Director General of the Foundation.

Director General of the Foundation gave a presentation - "New Phase of Integration of Georgian Science into the European Area - New Opportunities for Scientists", spoke about the importance of Georgia's membership of the EU's Interstate Organization for Science and Innovation - EURAXESS - for wider opportunities and new services for Georgian scientists and for its development. Also, about the programmes and calls announced in 2019, new targeted calls, 2020 priorities, plans and large-scale projects.

Zviad Gabisonia answered the questions of the young scientists and the audience.
