Scientific Agreement -established between Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research

The first meeting of the Georgian-Belarus Scientific and Technical Cooperation Commission was held on March 20, 2019 at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. Deputy Minister – Ms. Irina Abuladze and the Chairman of the state committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Shumilin signed the agreement of Belarus-Georgian scientific-technical cooperation. Partnership Agreement between Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research was signed in frames of the visit. Scientific Agreement was signed by the Director General of SRNSFG - Prof. Dr. Zviad Gabisonia and the chairman of the Scientific board of the Fundamental Research of the republic of Belarus – Prof.  Sergei Gabonenko. The Aim of cooperation agreement is to promote collaboration between the parties, to support joint research opportunities (which includes joint seminars, conferences and individual exchange projects); On the basis of a bilateral agreement, cooperation includes the full range of science, including engineering, social sciences and Humanities. Georgia-Belarus Science and Technology and Innovation Cooperation Program (2019-2020);

Joint activities between the SRNSFG and BRFFR will be conducted by a working group consisted of program coordinators from each party. The Agreement shall enter into force upon its signature by the Official representatives of the Parties and shall remain valid for 3 years.
