On May 22, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia organized a round table discussion on "Post-Pandemic Society and its Challenges." Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, Professor Zviad Gabisonia, Deputies Director General, Professor Jaba Samushia, and Professor Nino Gachechiladze, scientists from various fields and the Foundation's grantees took part in the discussion on this important issue. The participants of the "Round Table" discussed pandemic prevention, control and the medical, socio-economic, legal, ecological, psychological and other aspects of the expected consequences, ways and methods of overcoming them, analyzed the dangers of the spread of the new coronavirus, post-epidemic period and overviewed the development of mechanisms to neutralize them.

Zviad Gabisonia, Director General of the Rustaveli Foundation, said that in line with the challenges of the new Coronavirus pandemic as well as the post-pandemic period, the Foundation has launched a series of public lectures, this meeting is the first attempt to hold a discussion in the format of a "Round Table" so that scientists in various fields can express their views on this global problem.
