On November 27, 2020, the kick of meeting of the Twinning Project ,, Supporting Inter – Sectoral Collaboration Possibilities Between Research and Industry” was held.  The project itself is funded by European Commission and the budget for the project is 1 300 000 EUR for the duration of 2 years. The project aims at addressing priorities and challenges in Georgia’s Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) system with the aim of ensuring interdisciplinary approach, collaborative research and promote evidence-based policy implementation in line with the EU-Georgia Association Agreement (AA). The project envisages joint effort of Austrian – German – Latvian experts and SRNSFG colleagues to enhance SRNSFG capacity and improving research funding schemes.

The ,Twinning” Project kick off meeting was attended over 50 representatives of EU, Georgia’s State and Private Universities and various stakeholders. The meeting has been holding alongside with the activities of the project:,,Captain – Science is the Captain” which is Funded as part of the ,,Horizon 2020’’ MSCA. For the first time of Georgia’s history, the country joined EU member states in implementing MSCA, which brings together science and society, as well as underling the importance of science in people’s daily life. European Union is Georgia’s sustainable partner in the Science and Research.
