According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and Georgian Research and Educational Networking Association"GRENA" in August 2019, three projects funded by the Foundation are using GRENA’s Cloud Infrastructure.

The projects are dedicated to weather forecasting and climate change research, which has a great impact on the economies, agriculture, energy, water supply and other areas of the countries: study of  change of some elements of climate characterized for the territory of Georgia based on the ensemble of forecast regional models; Estimation of the projected impact of climate changein Georgia using a very high resolution climate model;short-term weather forecast for Georgian conditions. These projects are being implemented by researchers from Tbilisi State University, the National Environment Agency and the Geoscience and Technology Development Institutein close cooperation with the GRENA Association.
