An international conference was held in the direction of strengthening cooperation between science and industry

An international scientific conference - "Cooperation Encouragement between Science and Industry with the joint priorities of research and innovation" was held at the Technical University of Georgia, with the support of EU programs and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. The event aspired to encourage the development of research and innovation,  was opened by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nunu Mitskevich.

Nunu Mitskevich welcomed the audience and thanked the representatives of the European Union for the implementation of supporting programs in the direction of education and science in Georgia. The Deputy Minister spoke about the importance of defining scientific priorities in the development of science, technology and innovation. Within the framework of the event,  which represented the final stage in terms  of identifying scientific priorities, the participants had the opportunity to share their opinions concerning the ways of the best implementation of scientific priorities.

For the promotion of fruitful cooperation between the Scientific community and business representatives functional and also, thematic priorities were presented at the conference.

Consequential is that the international scientific conference was held with the support of the programs funded by the European Union - " Supporting inter - Sectoral Collaboration Possibilities Between Research and Industry” (TWINNING) and  “Support to Georgia's Researchers' Mobility”. 

Representatives of the embassies of Austria, Germany,  Latvia, the European Union, ministries, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, research institutes, universities, associations, Innovation  and Technology Agency  and companies working in various fields also took part in the international scientific conference.
