The Rustaveli Foundation hosted a representative of the International Scientific and Technical Center

 

Teimuraz Dochviri, Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, held a meeting with Aydin Turenbaev, Advisor to the General Director of the International Scientific and Technical Center (ISTC).

At the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of deepening relations in the field of science, technology and innovation, ways of implementing joint research projects. Additionally, partners highlighted that SRNSFG and ISTC will actively support researcher exchange programs. Close cooperation of organizations within the framework of EU programs was also emphasized. The head of the regional office of ISTC, Irina Khomerik, attended the meeting.

The International Scientific and Technical Center (ISTC) was established by the 1992 Agreement as an intergovernmental organization. Georgia joined ISTC in 1994. ISTC is one of the most important organizations supporting science in Georgia, which has funded up to 160 scientific projects with a total budget of up to 32 million US dollars.
