Teimuraz Dochviri has been appointed as the Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia
Doctor of Medical Science, Professor Teimuraz Dochviri was introduced as the new Director General of the Foundation to the heads of the structural units of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Nodar Papukashvili. The discussion at the meeting touched upon the pivotal role and significance of the Rustaveli National Science Foundation as an organization facilitating the development of the Science, Technology and Innovation System in the country, as well as the main directions of its activities and future priorities. In accordance with the goals of state grant calls and international programs administered by the Foundation, the focus was directed toward the endorsing high-quality, innovative scientific research and this endeavor serves as a means to facilitate the socio-economic progress while also facilitating the integration of Georgian science into the wider international scientific community.
Teimuraz Dochviri is an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He has authored 21 scientific papers, articles, and monographs, and has actively participated in both local and international conferences and congresses.
