SRNSF-Elsevier – Science and Development Forum and Seminar
On May 4th, 2016, with support of Elsevier and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation the Science and Development Forum and Elsevier seminar took place at the Conference Hall of Ilia State University.
The event was attended by rectors of the universities having access to ELSEVIER database, representatives of research centers and scientists interested in Elsevier services.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ms. Tamar Sanikidze, Deputy Minister Mr. George Sharvashidze, Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Dr. Marine Chitashvili, Head of Library Funds Division of Ilia State University Giga Khositashvili and the representatives of the “Elvesier” Ms. Lucie Boudova and Mr. Krzysztof Szymański spoke about various development strategies for scientific research, integration of scientists in international scientific space, challenges and achievements in Georgia, foundation’s activities related to ELSEVIER. The event was followed by discussion.
During the seminar, the speakers from ELSEVIER gave practical illustration on how to work in the database and seek for information in Scopus, Science Direct and Mendeley.
