Results of 2024 Call “Research Grants for Young Scientists”

The Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia is pleased to announce the results of the 2024 "Research Grants for Young Scientists" Call. A total of 137 project proposals were initially submitted, with 129 proposals progressing to the evaluation stage after undergoing an eligibility check.

The evaluation process was carried out by the European Science Foundation – Science Connect (ESF-SC) and consisted of three key stages:

1. An initial assessment of each project by two independent peer reviewers;

2. A rebuttal process, allowing the applicants to respond to the initial evaluations;

3. A final assessment by expert groups/panels, which considered the original evaluations and the rebuttals submitted by the applicants.

Following the comprehensive evaluation conducted by the expert groups, ranked lists were compiled. Based on these rankings, 31 projects were selected for funding, in accordance with the Director General's Order No. 102, dated June 28, 2024.

The Decree of the Director General of the Foundation approving the winning projects and ranking lists for the 2024 Research Grant for Young Scientists is available in Georgian.
