EIT Food’s Global Food Venture (GFV) programme

Shota Rustaveli National Scientific Foundation of Georgia (SRNSFG) dissiminates information on the new opportunity for PdD students.

EIT Food’s Global Food Venture (GFV) programme supports 30 highly-motivated PhD students from across Europe to turn their research into successful business concepts in the food & agtech space.

The programme will support upcoming innovators in the area of entrepreneurship and business creation, through an intensive curriculum of tailored seminars and workshops. Participants will leverage the knowledge and expertise of a diverse consortium of EIT Food industry partners and benefit greatly from the one-to-one mentoring of an academic partner institute. During a period of 9 months, the GFV program will bring together talented researchers with technology experts, mentors and investors to prototype viable solutions with validated value propositions, and therefore tackle challenges across the food and agriculture industry. Unlike any other European entrepreneurship programme, GFV participants  will have the unique opportunity to visit two key international entrepreneurship ecosystems (Israel and the Silicon Valley), pitch their ideas internationally, and network with key players from the food & agtech space. The GFV programme is sponsored by EIT Food so that no financial contributions will be required by the PhD students.
