The presentation of the project "Georgian Children's Literature: from “Dedaena” to “Salamura"
The presentation of the project "Georgian Children's Literature: from “Dedaena” to “Salamuri" was held within the framework of the Grant Call for Science Popularization financed by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. The aim of this project is to showcase Georgian children's writers and their creative works, to popularize their contributions both within Georgia and on the global stage. Through the creation of scientific-cognitive films, the project seeks to acquaint the general public with the literary legacies of notable Georgian authors who have played a vital role in the development of Georgian children's and youth literature. Among the distinguished authors are Iakob Gogebashvili, Akaki Tsereteli, Vazha-Pshavela, Shio Mghvimeli, Ekaterine Gabashvili, Revaz Inanishvili, Otia Ioseliani, and Nodar Dumbadze.
Professor Erekle Astakhishvili, the Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, highlighted the foundation's priorities, with a significant focus on the importance of the Grant Call for Science Popularization. The main objective of this call is to popularize scientific knowledge and foster its dissemination within the wider society. He emphasized the foundation's unwavering commitment to supporting scientific projects that endeavor to popularize Georgian literature, with special attention given to the realm of Georgian children's literature.
