"Exploration of physical and mechanical characteristics of concrete from the position of adsorption theory"

In Union "Science and Energy" presentation on final results of project "Exploration of physical and mechanical characteristics of concrete from the position of adsorption theory" has been introduced, which is funded by Shota Rustaveli Foundation. Head - Merab Lortkipanidze.

Experimental studies on concrete stretching, compression and climbing at constant and multiple loads were presented. Based on these results, a phenomenological (rheological) model of concrete was selected.

The process of reinforcement and the theory of dispersion are described.

Concrete reinforcing structures have been introduced on the basis of the mixture of 90% of less deficient concrete - Bakelite varnish and 10% of expensive deficient - epoxy resin. Compared to normal reinforced concrete structures, we achieved a weight reduction of 30-40%, which greatly facilitates construction technology. These structures were introduced in the construction of roads.

The presentation was attended by the professors of the Georgian Technical University.
