Developing Innovative Methods in Georgian Organic Viticulture
Shota Rustavei National Science Foundation of Georgia Disseminates information about the meeting with Biomedicors was held at the National Wine Agency, organized by the Agricultural Research Center. Meeting with Biomedmen was held within the frames of Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation project "Developing Innovative Methods in Georgia in Organic Viticulture".
Issues related to transition to biomass, buffer zones, soil fertilization system, bio wine production and regulation of pest diseases were discussed at the meeting.
Levan Ujmajuridze, Director of Agriculture Scientific-Research Center, Deputy Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Sophio Uchaneishvili, Deputy Chairman of National Wine Agency, Levan Mekhuzla, Director of Biosafety Authority "Caucasus" Davit Bedoshvili and other interested parties participated in the meeting.
The project "Developing Innovative Methods in Organic Viticulture in Georgia" has been in progress since 2016. Within the framework of the project, the first time in Georgia, scientifically developed bio wine production scheme. In order to support the development of organic viticulture, the Scientific Research Center of Agriculture carries out research in two distinctly different climatic regions - Kakheti and mountainous Adjara.
