The Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, Teimuraz Dochviri, participated in a ceremony celebrating Georgian graduates of French universities.

The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Olivier Courtois, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Georgia.

Teimuraz Dochviri and the Ambassador of France jointly presented certificates to the winners of the 2026 grant call under the joint research internship programme of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and the French Institute of Georgia.

The Director General of the Foundation congratulated the successful researchers on their achievement and wished them a fruitful research journey. He noted the particular importance of state support in providing young people with opportunities to gain international experience and knowledge. According to him, the experience gained will contribute to the development of science in Georgia in the future.

Teimuraz Dochviri also expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of France in Georgia and the French Institute of Georgia for their fruitful cooperation.

Under the programme, the winners will undertake research internships at leading universities and research institutions in France. The programme will be implemented with the support of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and the French Institute of Georgia.

The Ambassador of France also presented certificates to the winners of various scholarship programmes of the French Government, including the “Women in Science” and “France Excellence Major” programmes.
