Awarding the winners of “Leonardo Da Vinci” Call

On November 15, at Writers’ House of Georgia awarding ceremony of “Leonardo Da Vinci” call for student inventors and researchers was held.

General Director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia – Prof. Zviad Gabisonia spoke about the great importance and goals of the Foundation's most popular traditional call - "Leonardo da Vinci". The winners of the call were awarded by the CEO of Georgia Millennium Challenge Corporation - Magda Maghradze, Vice Dean of San Diego State University - Nugzar Davitashvili, Head of Marketing Analytics and Insights (TBC Bank) Aleksandre Makashvili, Chairman of LEPL National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia - Genadi Lebanidze.

The owners of the first, second and third places of the Grand Prix were identified. The grand prize was awarded to students of Cervantes School "AIA-GESS" - Rostom Nioradze and Keta Aptsiauri, for project: White Bear-luminous flexible array in the role of a static solar panel guide and use of Peltier elements to utilize vanity heat flow. Owners of the 1st place are students of Cervantes School - AIA-GESS Mariam Maghradze, Teona Contridze, Tekla Lezhava; Second place winners were students from the same school Lizi Turashvili, Mariam Mikadze, Avtandil Gujabidze. The third-place holders are students from Cervantes High School "AIA-GESS", Public School № 51 and Tbilisi Classical Gymnasium – Gega Shavdatuashvili, Mariam Ninua, Baia Grdzelishvili.

“Leonardo Da Vinci” Call for student-inventors and researchers is held annually by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.
