On April 27, Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty, Kaunas University of Technology and Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) hosted the  23rd Conference „Information Society and University Studies“ IVUS2018.

The conference was attended by presenters of about 15 states, including the representative of Georgia. Dr. Maksim Yavich, CEO and President of Scientific Cyber Security Association (SCSA), professor at the Caucasus University and Mr. Melkisedek Jinjikhadze, staff member of Akaki Tsereteli State University and Mr. Giorgi Iashvili SCSA project manager.

Two presentations were delivered at the conference, both topics supported by the SRNSFG and STCU joint grant.

The presentation on ,,Hash based digital signature scheme with integrated TRNG”  (authors of the topic: Dr. Maksim Yavich, Dr. Avtandil Gagnidze and Dr. Giorgi Iashvili) was awarded as the best presentation.

Georgia’s researcher’s distinguished participation among 38 presentations is a big success not only for the scientific Cyber Security Association (SCSA), but also for Georgia overall. Both of the works will be published in international scientific journal.

It is noteworthy that, as part of the visit, Dr. Maksim Yavich delivered lectures on cyber security and cryptography to the international students.
