Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgian hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Georgia, Enrico Valvo.

At the meeting, the Director General of the Foundation Jaba Samushia informed the Ambassador of Italy regarding the activities of the Foundation and underlined the importance of supporting cooperation between Italian and Georgian researchers in scientific research. Sides overviewed the current schemes of scientific cooperation between Georgia and Italy and clearly stated the need of enhancing scientific cooperation between the two countries. At the meeting, H.E. Enrico Valvo discussed the existing cooperation between the Foundation and the National Research Council of Italy, in regards of which the parties stressed the importance of expanding the bilateral grant scheme and expressed readiness to strengthen future cooperation.
