Information day on SPIRE Calls
Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia is organizing Information day on SPIRE calls on December 21st, 2017 at 16:00. SPIRE (Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency) calls are part of Horizon 2020 work programme on Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing. The aim of the calls is to further strengthen the global leadership of Europe’s industry in environmental sustainability, through a combination of mature and disruptive technologies.
Sustainable Process industry embraces 8 sectors: cement, ceramics, chemicals, engineering, minerals and ores, non-ferrous metal, steel and water sectors.
As stated in Working Programme international cooperation may be particularly appropriate in some areas of the Sustainable Process Industry, in particular with Eastern Partnership countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus).
Information Day thus will review 2018 SPIRE open calls:
- CE-SPIRE-02-2018: Processing of material feedstock using non-conventional energy sources (IA);
- CE-SPIRE-03-2018: Energy and resource flexibility in highly energy intensive industries (IA 50);
- CE-SPIRE-10-2018: Efficient recycling processes for plastic containing materials (IA).
Deadline: February 22nd, 2018. Applications to the calls are submitted through the H2020 standard research procedure.
In order to receive detailed information regarding the calls, please find the Work Programme. (SPIRE Calls on page 61-71).
