Joint Call for Proposals by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and the LEPL- Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation (SRNSF)

 

Joint Call for Proposals by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and the LEPL- Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation (SRNSF) will be announced in May 2016.

The aim of the call is to promote cooperation between Turkish and Georgian higher educational institutes and research centers and provide funds for joint research projects and exchange of individual scientists and specialists.

 

Call considers Grant funding for the following categories:

  1. Implementation of Joint Research Projects
  2. Short Term Exchange of Individual Scientists and Specialists

Call covers the following fields of common interest:

  1. Natural Sciences
  2. Engineering and Technology
  3. Medical and health Sciences
  4. Agricultural Sciences
  5. Social Sciences and Humanities

Turkish and Georgian joint teams are eligible to submit a Joint Research Project. Georgian scientific team will submit a research project to the SRNSF and Turkish scientific team will submit the same research project to TUBITAK. Georgian scientific team should have principal investigator from Georgia and Turkish scientific team should have principal investigator from Turkey.

Georgian citizens who are eligible to submit Individual Research Visit Project are as follows:

  1. Doctors or individuals with equal academic degree
  2. Young Researchers: Master students, doctorate students, Master or equal academic degree individuals up to 35 years old.

The duration of joint research project should not exceed 24 months. Funds requested from SRNSF should not exceed 30 000 GEL, i.e.15 000 GEL annually.

The duration of Individual scientific-research visit should not exceed 10 calendar days; while requested funds from the SRNSF should not be more than 4, 000 GEL.

Please, consider that the documentation forms and corresponding annexes (Order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, order of SNRSF Director General, Guidelines and Rules for Participation, Application form, Joint Statement Form) will be available after call announcement.

Final submitted project should be prepared according to the indicated forms!
