On May 18, on the occasion of the National Clothing Day, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia for Foundation grantees and professors hosted a lecture of Giorgi Kalandia, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Director General of the Palace of Arts, entitled "National Clothing of Georgian Kings and Queens".

The remote meeting was attended by Zviad Gabisonia,  Director  General of the Foundation, and Jaba Samushia, Deputy Director General.

During the lecture, Giorgi Kalandia discussed the history of Georgian kings' clothing, impact of the political situation on the clothing of the rulers, what clothes tell us and what symbolic load it had. At the end, Director General of the Foundation, Zviad Gabisonia, thanked Giorgi Kalandia for the interesting lecture. The remote meeting ended with a question-and-answer session
