Director General Jaba Samushia discussed issues of expanding cooperation with the Ambassador of Japan
The Director General of the Rustaveli National Foundation was hosted by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Imamura Akira at his residence, where the parties discussed issues of deepening scientific cooperation.
At the meeting, Jaba Samushia introduced to the Japanese ambassador science support programs implemented by the Foundation in Georgia and spoke about the importance of strengthening links with the Japanese side in terms to promote the development of the scientific field. On his part, the Japanese ambassador expressed his readiness to encourage the Georgian scientific area. At the end of the meeting, the parties planned future meetings to discuss specific issues.
Also, the famous Japanese Kartvelologist, professor of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tokyo Metropolitan University, Hirotake Maeda, who has been researching the history and literature of Georgia for decades, was attending the meeting with the Japanese Ambassador.
