The Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia is pleased to announce the results of the 2025 Call for Research Grants for Young Scientists.
A total of 148 project proposals were submitted. Following the eligibility check, 134 proposals progressed to the evaluation stage. The assessment process, conducted in partnership with the European Science Foundation (ESF), consisted of three stages:
1. Independent Peer Review – Each proposal was evaluated by two independent experts in the relevant scientific field.
2. Rebuttal Stage – Applicants were given the opportunity to respond to the reviewers’ comments and assessments.
3. Final Panel Review – ESF expert panels reviewed the proposals, taking into account both the initial assessments and applicants’ rebuttals, and subsequently determined the final scores.
Based on these comprehensive evaluations, 30 projects have been selected for funding.
The official Decree of the Director General confirming the results is available in Georgian.
Call participants may access their individual project evaluations through the Grants Management Unified System (GMUS).
