EURAXESS-Georgia’s governing committee session
On November 14, At the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, EURAXESS-Georgia’s governing committee session was held. Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia – Prof. Zviad Gabisonia, spoke about the importance of Georgia's membership of the EU's Interstate Organization for Science and Innovation - EURAXESS - for wider opportunities and new services for Georgian scientists and for its development.
Head of the Rustaveli Foundation's Science Department, Coordinator of EURAXESS-Georgia Network Startup - Ketevan Gabitashvili gave a presentation on EURAXESS, its goals and services for scientists, spoke about the development stages and key directions of the EURAXESS-Georgia Network Startup project. Deputy Director General of the Foundation – Mrs. Nino Gachechiladze also spoke about the prospects and opportunities of EURAXESS’s portal - EURAXESS-Georgia.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Higher Education and Science Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia – Nino Tsereteli, Representatives from: Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia – Ketevan Goginashvili, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development – Salome Meqvabishvili, Ministry of Justice of Georgia – Salome Markozia, Public Service Development Agency – Ekaterine Odisharia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia – Mikheil Sulaberidze, The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia – Beka Gulbani.
Participants of the project - Salome Sharashenidze and Lana Davituliani, staff members of the Rustaveli foundation’s Science Department, also attended the meeting.
