The Forge AI project launched its first innovation training

Tbilisi, Georgia — The Forge AI project launched its first innovation training on 11–12 November 2025, bringing together 46 students, researchers, and young professionals from Georgian Higher Education Institutions.

The programme over two days played essential  role in strengthening Georgia’s innovation ecosystem and supporting a new wave of AI-focused entrepreneurs and researchers.

Highlights of the Training:

Diverse participation: 46 attendees from multiple Georgian HEIs, representing disciplines from computer science and engineering to business and social sciences.

Interactive modules: Sessions covered startup fundamentals, AI solutions development, European AI Act & GDPR, funding deep tech ventures, IP fundamentals, responsible AI practices, and AI business models.

Hands on teamwork: Participants collaborated in 3 groups to develop  AI Business Model Canvases (AI- BMCs), applying theoretical knowledge to practical innovation challenges ,based on 3 real time scenarios of young women and men led  AI based startuppers.

Mentorship: Guidance was provided by experienced trainers and mentors from DFKI (Germany) and Creative Cluster (France), ensuring participants received tailored feedback and coaching.

Participants gained practical tools, regulatory insights, and essential skills in pitching, teamwork, and communication to bring AI research ideas to market.

The Forge AI project will continue offering training, mentoring, and outreach activities throughout 2026, fostering lasting impact and integrating  innovation practices across Georgian Higher Education Institutions.

This first training series demonstrates the commitment of Forge AI to empower Georgian researchers and innovators. By equipping them with technical, business, and soft skills, the project is building the foundation for a sustainable innovation culture in Georgia,, A new pool of AI professionals and AI-powered bridges is under construction among  Germany, France and Georgia through secondments from 2027.
