Presentation of the final report of the NIH professor
On October 10, 2018 Professor of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. Leonid Margolis held presentation of the report at the US embassy in Georgia. Professor Margolis has visited Georgia in frames of the US Embassy Science Fellows Program, which provides US embassies access to the expertise of the US government officers in science and technology fields. During his one-month working visit in Georgia, he held several meetings not only at the SRNSFG but at the various research organizations, centers and institutions.
The meeting of October 10, 2018, was attended by representatives of the US embassy and SRNSFG. Professor Margolis presented his view, and shared his advice and recommendation for development of foundation activities and promoting Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) system in Georgia, in general.
At the end of the presentation, the audience had a chance to open discussion. Prof. Margolis also reviewed perspectives for the future scientific cooperation between SRNSFG, Georgian research institutions and NIH as well as between the US – Georgian scientific collaboration opportunities.
