SRNSFG International Policy Board Meeting

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia hosted VI International Policy Board Meeting on 15-16 February, 2018. International Policy Board is the collegial body of the foundation with Georgian and international scientists and representatives of the Government of Georgia.

IPB holds meetings twice a year and discusses the foundation mission and policy, supervises foundation’s activities. Besides, the board defines strategic priorities and monitors the Foundation’s activity plan. International Policy Board meetings will last for two days.

Representatives of the Foundation will present and discuss: New Programme Portfolio and 2018 Action plan (Budget and programmes, International cooperation, Science Communication, evaluation schemes, Efficacy evaluation, GMUS, Strategy of the Ministry of Education and Science, Science, Innovation and Technology (STI) System and related topics; large-scale STI projects- linkage to the programmes administered by the Foundation, policy towards DUBNA and CERN, 2019 challenges and new schemes, programmes and grant monitoring; participation in the EU framework programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020”. (participation schemes- PSF, EU twinning). 

On February 16, the International Policy Board will finalize winter meetings, summarize identified topics and issues and will provide recommendations for the next VII meeting.
