On July 17-18, 2018 Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia hosted the 7^th International Policy Board meeting.

Since 2015, the foundation has the collegiate body - International Policy Board (IPB), members of which are the leading Georgian and Foreigner scientists and representatives of the Government of Georgia. The IPB defines the vision, policy and strategic priorities of the foundation is responsible for implementation and monitoring the action plan.

The staff members of the foundation presented and discussed the following issues at the board meeting: New programmes portfolio and 2018 plan (budget and programmes, international cooperation opportunities, science popularization programmes, foundation’s activities in the international projects, challenges for 2019, activities enhancing Georgian scientists’ participation in the EU framework programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020” etc.

The international policy board meets twice a year and discusses 6 months activities of the foundation.
