Horizon 2020 Conference
On November 7, 2016, conference related to the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020 took place in Tbilisi, Georgia. The event titled - ‘Associated to Horizon 2020: What’s next - ‘from association to impact generation’ was organized as part of the project – ‘STI International Cooperation Network for Eastern Partnership Countries – Inconet EaP’.
Conference was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, representatives of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, representatives of the IncoNet EaP Project partner institutions, EU Delegation to Georgia, researchers and stakeholders from Georgian scientific research institutions.
Conference agenda included discussion on support measures to countries in the EaP region, national perspectives to association to Horizon 2020, widening participation instruments etc. Topics related to Georgia’s Association to Horizon 2020 were covered by the speakers from Estonia (Estonian Research Council), Austria (The Centre for Social Innovation), Moldova, Poland (Institute of Fundamental Technological Research Polish Academy of Sciences), International Organization - Centre for Regional and International Studies and local stakeholders.
The IncoNet EaP has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no 609528.
