On April 13, Tbilisi State University hosted an exhibition by the Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Centre of Manuscripts dedicated to Deda Ena the Georgian Mother Language. The joint conference of Tbilisi State University and the State Language Department was held. The events took place as part of the Georgian Language Week. 

The exhibition included poetry and story created for “Deda Ena”. Original Illustration created by Oskar Schmerling on textbook of Iakob Gogebashvili ; Correspondence of Iakob Gogebashvili and the individuals living in his epoch regarding creation of “Deda Ena”; The first printed published work of Alphabet-“Georgian Italian Dictionary” printed in Rome in 1629; “Deda Ena” in Abkhazian Language, which is kept in Ivane Javakhishvili’s archive, Abkhazian “Deda Ena” has bestowed handwritings from the publishers;  Kliche of printing house of “Deda Ena” printed in 1920 and etc; 

In frame of scientific conference dedicated to the Georgian Language, memorandum of understanding between Tbilisi State University and the State Language Department will be signed. According to the memorandum TSU and The State Language Department, will organize joint conferences and workshops and trainings.

Rector of Tbilisi State University-Dr. George Sharvashidze; Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia-Mrs., Manana (Mako) Mikaberidze; Chairperson of the State Language Department-Mr., Giorgi Alibegashvili; Dean of Faculty of Humanities Mrs. Nino Gaprindashvili. They participated in opening speech of the conference, dedicated to the Georgian language, in front of attendance and the participants.

In the framework of the conference, the presentation of book “Dictionary of the common language mistake”, was held. Lot of people will use this book due to having common language mistakes. Dictionary includes definition of orthographic, morphologic, syntax and stylish mistakes.
