On 10th of July, 18:00 the farewell event was held, celebrating the work of the former Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Professor Marine Chitashvili.  The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and the Deputy Ministers, Director of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Rector of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, members of the International Coordination Council of the Foundation, members of commission of Oxford and Foundation Joint program and staff of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation attended the event.

A short presentation about the achievements of professor Marine Chitashvili while serving as a Director General of the Foundation kicked off the meeting.The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia thanked Dr. Marine Chitashvili for the most important contributions - development of the Foundation, preparation of qualified staff and development of international cooperation for the Foundation. Mr. Jejelava expressed his hope that the team created by Dr. Marine will continue to set ambitious goals. The members of the International Policy Board expressed profound gratitude and mentioned that with the support of Ms. Marine and the Ministry, the Foundation has done a huge work towards the cooperation and equal partnership with international scientific foundations.
