The Rustaveli Foundation participated in the festive event dedicated to May 26
The Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, a legal entity of public law under the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, took part in the ceremonial event dedicated to Georgia's Independence Day, which was held in the city of Ozurgeti.
Within the framework of the event, the Rustaveli National Science Foundation presented the winning projects of the 2025 "Leonardo da Vinci" student inventors and researchers call: the Grand Prix-winning project, "Smart Table - an Organizer for the blind" and the first-place project, “ Real-time structural deformation monitoring system”.
The presentation of the innovative projects created by the young inventors - Guram Gurgenidze, Giorgi Tetruashvili, Mate Akhaladze, and Giorgi Pkhaladze was conducted with the active engagement of the event participants. Visitors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the technological solutions and innovative ideas created by the young researchers and inventors.
The exhibition space of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia was visited by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, the Deputy Minister, Zviad Gabisonia, the State Representative in the Guria Region, Giorgi Ghurjumelidze, the Mayor of Ozurgeti Municipality, Paata Kunchulia, representatives of the Parliament of Georgia, and other officials. The Foundation's General Director, Teimuraz Dochviri, introduced the guests to the winning innovative projects created within the framework of the "Leonardo da Vinci" call for Young Inventors and Researchers.
As part of the event, an educational quiz dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of Christianity's declaration as Georgia's state religion was also held, and its winners were awarded symbolic prizes and gifts.
