Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, Prof. Dr. Erekle Astakhishvili, met the representatives from the Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany - Jorn Benzinger, Christian Woolner and Ellen Resch. The purpose of the official meeting was to expand scientific cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany.

The representatives of the German side discussed the current programmes and trainings of the Bochum School of Science, which are a powerful means of promoting professional advancement for young scientists in the academic, research and business fields.

Director General of Rustaveli Foundation introduced the activities of the foundation to the German side and drew attention to the Georgian-German relations in the scientific field. At the meeting, specific plans for future cooperation were set by the parties.
