Teimuraz Dochviri, Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, held a meeting with H.E. Hideki Ishizuka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed perspectives for developing scientific cooperation between Georgia and Japan and considered areas that could foster closer ties between the scientific and academic communities of the two countries and strengthen international partnerships.

 The parties also discussed prospects for deepening cooperation between Georgian and Japanese scientific foundations and research centers, including the development and implementation of joint grant programs. At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of Japan positively assessed the activities of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and expressed his readiness to actively support the further development of scientific cooperation between the two countries.
