Information Day on SPIRE 2018 Calls
Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia in cooperation with the EaP PLUS Project organized an Information Day on SPIRE 2018 open calls on December 21st, 2017 at 16:00 at the Conference Hall of SRNSFG. Information Day was attended by the representatives of Georgian academia and SME representatives. Presentation was delivered by the SPIRE Contact Point in Georgia, Ms. Margalita Arabidze who reviewed SPIRE 2018 open calls:
- CE-SPIRE-02-2018: Processing of material feedstock using non-conventional energy sources (IA);
- CE-SPIRE-03-2018: Energy and resource flexibility in highly energy intensive industries (IA 50);
- CE-SPIRE-10-2018: Efficient recycling processes for plastic containing materials (IA).
SPIRE (Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency) calls are part of Horizon 2020 Work Programme on Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing.
The aim of the calls is to further strengthen the global leadership of Europe’s industry in environmental sustainability, through a combination of mature and disruptive technologies. Deadline for 2018 open calls is February 22nd, 2018.
Presentation was also delivered at the Info Day by Horizon 2020 National Contact Point on Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy, Natalia Shatirishvili. She presented practical information for proposal writing, consortia building and other important information for successful project writing in Horizon 2020.
The meeting was interactive and the attendants were provided with the useful information regarding H2020 SPIRE Calls, project writing and EaP PLUS Project Grants for Networking opportunities for Georgian scientists.
