Information session on French-Georgian Scientific Cooperation

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia together with the Institut français de Géorgie organized the Information Session on “Research landscape in France and Funding Opportunities for Georgia” on March 5, 2019 at the Conference Hall of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia (Address: #1. Aleksidze str. III floor) as part of the activities in frames of a newly-opened “Rustaveli Foundation Training Center”.

The event aimed at reviewing the current and planned scientific cooperation perspectives between Georgia and France. The event was attended by the Deputy Head of Mission of the French Embassy to Georgia M. Eric Tossati and French Institute of Georgia and University and Scientific cooperation Attaché, Ms. Eléonore Garnier who hold the presentation on French research landscape.

Agenda of the event covered the following topics:

  • Research landscape in France
  • Funding instruments and perspectives for international cooperation
  • Scientific Exchanges and mobility schemes
  • France in Horizon 2020, a general overview

II session of the event was dedicated to sharing information and experience of Franco - Georgian scientific cooperation.
