Meeting with the head of the Foundation for Polish Science and the director of the POLONIKA Institute
On December 6, the director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia Jaba Samushia visited Foundation for Polish science and held meeting with the head of the organization. As part of the meeting, Prof. Samushia presented the basic scope of activities of SRNSFG and bilateral cooperation schemes, including foundations engagement in EU research and innovation framework programme.
Parties discussed about the main directions, which are perspective to initiate and further pursue possible collaboration schemes between the organizations in order to strengthen scientific links between Poland and Georgia.
The Director General of SRNSFG also met the director of POLONIKA The National Institute of Polish Cultural Heritage Abroad, Mrs. Dorota Janiszewska-Jakubiak.
At the meeting, the Director of the Rustaveli Foundation, Jaba Samushia, stressed the importance of cooperation between the Polish state and Georgia in both political and scientific fields. He expressed a desire to establish relations with the organization, which provides for the initiation of cooperation by supporting the implementation of joint research projects of Polish and Georgian scientists-historians. Polish side welcomed the idea and expressed readiness to engage in collaboration with Georgian side.
