On February 26, Zviad Gabisonia, Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Nino Gachechiladze, Deputy Director General met with the scientists and members of the Scientific Council of the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature.

Rustaveli Science Foundation's Director General Zviad Gabisonia mentioned that evaluation of the participant projects of the Call for Basic Research State Grants at first time was made according to the standards of the European Research Council (ERC), 2 projects by independent experts and then discussed at the scientific field panels, which included representatives from 26 countries, 113 institutions, ESF of high-level experts. As for the evaluation of scientific research in the field of Kartvelology, the management of the Foundation appealed to all Georgian higher education institutions, research institutes in this field, to create a unified panel based on the consensus, staffed by authoritative, qualified experts and mandated by all institutions. The sides also discussed the creation of a Coordinating Council of Kartvelology field Research Institutes, the announcement of targeted, problem-oriented calls.
