Meeting with National Research Institute of Science of France
The meeting was held on the 30-th of June between the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and the National Research Institute of Science of France (Irstea), which aimed to strengthen collaboration between the two states. The research centre was represented by: Raoul Mille (Director International Relations), Pierrick Givone (Director General) and Terry Burte (Attache for Scientific and University Cooperation, who is also a representative of the French Embassy in Georgia)
The attendants discussed policies and targets of the SRNSF and the research centre. The French representatives focused on interests and directions of Irstea in their presentation. They expressed their readiness and desire to collaborate tightly with Georgian scientists (they are ready to develop research projects for “Horizon 2020” program), to share experience to interested figures, to collaborate with policy making agencies in the field of environmental safety and agriculture for defining public policy.
