Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), announces 2025 grant call for the joint "Rustaveli-DAAD" scholarship program
The grant call finances projects that involve internships at German higher education institutions and/or research institutes for the following categories:
- For young researchers (Georgian citizens whose doctoral degree has been awarded no more than 12 years prior to the announcement of the call): Duration of the scholarship: not less than 2 months and not more than 6 months.
- For doctoral students: Duration of the scholarship: 3 months.
- For doctoral students in joint doctoral programs: Duration of the scholarship: 6 months.
The internships should take place between June 1, 2025, and November 30, 2025.
The grant call covers the following scientific fields according to the DAAD classifier:
- Languages and Cultural Studies
- Law, Economics, and Social Sciences
- Mathematics and Natural Sciences
- Medicine
- Veterinary Medicine, Forestry, Ecology, Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences, Ecology
- Engineering
- Art, Music and Sport Sciences;
The project and the documents specified in Annex 1 must be uploaded to the DAAD electronic portal, where the registration deadline is March 25, 2025, at 23:00.
The following documents must be submitted to the Foundation’s Chancellery:
- a) Research project in Georgian;
- b) Project budget in Georgian (Annex 2);
- c) Application for participation in the call (Annex 3).
The final deadline for submitting the application to the Foundation’s Chancellery is March 26, 2025, by 17:00.
