The Memorandum of Understanding was signed
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, The Embassy of the Republic of France in Georgia, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia (SRNSFG) and the French institute in Georgia on April 23, 2018.
The MoU was signed by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dr. Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Director General of the SRNSFG, Ms. Manana Mikaberidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E. Pascal Meunier and the Director of the French institute in Georgia, Mr. Jean-Yves Lavoir.
The purpose of the MoU is to promote and strengthen cooperation between the Parties and awareness of the current and forthcoming policy approaches in the area of research policy, to support the development of young scientists and contribute to the popularization of Science in Georgia.
The possible cooperation directions between the Parties might include: supporting mobility, bilateral cooperation supporting the joint research projects and seminars with participation of Georgian and French scientists, supporting Georgian Studies Programme at French universities and research centers, supporting joint projects in the international framework programmes and enhancement of the Science Popularization etc.
