On June 19, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia organized an online lecture "Medicine and Art" which was conducted by Gela Beselia, Foundation’s grant holder, Doctor of Medical science, Associate Professor of Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy and Head of the Department of Physiology-Pharmacology, Scientist at Ivane Beritashvili Experimental Biomedicine Center.

Zviad Gabisonia, Director General of the Foundation, and Jaba Samushia, Deputy Director, spoke about the importance of a targeted grant call for the promotion of science, noted that “Medicine and Art” is one of the successful winner projects. Gela Beselia delivered a presentation on the integration and interaction of medicine and art. The integration of medicine and art is an effective way to develop critical thinking and empathy, with their cooperation mutually beneficial knowledge and creative thinking being born. At the end, the author of the project answered the numerous questions of the event participants.
